that the following is a summary of an Ordinance
(Coloma Charter Township Ordinance No. 99) which was adopted by the Township
Board of the Charter Township of Coloma at its regular meeting held September 9,
2009.
SECTION I AMENDMENT OF SECTION 19.11 This Section amends subsection “A”
of Section 19.11 of the Coloma Charter Township Zoning Ordinance pertaining to
general regulations for fences so as to add a new subpart “8” to provide that no portion
of a gate or pillar may exceed 7 ft. in height.
SECTION II AMENDMENT OF SECTIONS 8.08, 9.08, 10.08, 12.10, 13.09 AND 18.18.
This Section amends subsections “4” and “5” of Sections 8.08, 9.08, 10.08, 12.10, 13.09
and 18.18 of the Coloma Charter Township Zoning Ordinance so as to (1) change from
12 ft. to 14 ft. the maximum wall height of accessory buildings in the R-1A, R-1B, R-2A,
R-2B, R-3, C-1, M-1, M-2 and WA zoning districts and (2) change from 22 ft. to 25 ft. the
total maximum height of accessory buildings in the aforementioned zoning districts.
SECTION III AMENDMENT OF SECTIONS 15.09 AND 16.09. This Section amends
subsections “4” and “5” of Sections 15.09 and 16.09 of the Coloma Charter Township
Zoning Ordinance so as to (1) change from 12 ft. to 14 ft. the maximum wall height of
residential accessory buildings in the AG-T and AG-P zoning districts and (2) change
from 22 ft. to 25 ft. the total maximum height of residential accessory buildings in the
aforementioned zoning districts..
SECTION IV AMENDMENT OF SECTION 18.09. This Section amends subsection “2”
of Section 18.09 of the Coloma Charter Township Zoning Ordinance pertaining to
structures on waterfront property subject to setback requirements so as to change the
reference to “above-ground swimming pool” to “swimming pool”.
SECTION V SEVERABILITY. The provisions of this Ordinance are severable.
SECTION VI REPEAL All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this
Ordinance are repealed.
SECTION VII EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall take effect eight (8) days
following publication after adoption.
